Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you find it helpful and informative. Before you start therapy, it is important to remember that it is an experience that goes beyond the therapist office. Therapy is about having the on-going curiosity to peel back the layers. Essentially, my role is to help you in gaining IASA (INSIGHT, AWARENESS, SKILLS, ACTION).
• INSIGHT (the why?) – “Why do I feel this way?”, “Why do I act this way?”, or “Why can’t I let this go?”.
• AWARENESS (the what and when): – “What are my emotions/feelings?”, “When do I feel this way?”, “What sensations do I get in my body?”, “When are the behaviors are triggered?”.
• SKILLS (the how): – “How do I cope?”, “How do I communicate my wants and needs?”, and “How can I regulate these emotions?” or “How do I improve my relationships?”.
• ACTION! – The motivation and sometimes courage, to apply all that is gained! Applying the insight, awareness, skills…. Into change. (Action)
